It's no secret that I view most "Welcome Back Kotter merchandise" as kind of like excrement, in that I don't want any of it but I think it's fun to post pictures of it on the internet.
That might have come out wrong.
Regardless, I'd love to know who thought Office Supplies bearing grotesque caricatures of John Travolta and Gabe Kaplan would be a hot selling item? Seriously, please come forward and explain, this is keeping me up at night.
Dig the detailing on his 'fro.

Gotta disagree with you on this one- I think this bit of Gabe-based goodies makes a bit sense. The show was incredibly popular and I do remember desk accoutrements being popular even amongst kids to a certain extent. Well, at least to the extent that parents went character-based trapper keepers to also think (and buy for) their kids character-based staplers and desk calendars, etc.
That said, I would have passed on these :)
John Travolta looks like every female character in every Filmation cartoon during the 60s and 70s. Gabe Kaplan looks like he's climbing out of a coffin. Pretty bizarre stuff!
I'm beginning to wonder if the Gabe Kaplan piece could be used as a cat's litter box. It looks like Gabe is pointing as if to say "Look at the size of that one!"
