RIP Bea Arthur

Bea Arthur has left this earth today and that makes me sad. I always liked her, she's never not been on TV in my lifetime, a hell of a good actress and a good sport too.

She gave us Maude, Amanda, Dorothy, a great stint on Futurama and of course, she gave us, this, the worst musical number this side of Shatner. We don't blame you Bea, nobody got out of this turd smelling good.

Goodbye Bea, you will be dearly missed and most certainly, never replaced.

Loved her too in that parody of Sex and the City made for TVParty. She made quite the great Carrie Bradshaw -- hard to believe she was in her mid-80s!

Never saw the series Maude, but from what I've heard, I'd love it. Gotta get my hands on some episodes...

Golden Girls was great but Maude was a game-changer. I was way too young to appreciate or even know about it, but as a student of TV you can see how important the show was. Like All In The Family, it used comedy to address and push forward a lot of issues affecting women.
